Rabel D'amore

This beautiful instrument, designed by Ana Alcaide, blend Castilian rebec tradition with the sweetness of the Hardanger fiddle, lead to 6 added sympathetic strings that answer to the frequency range of the melody. The stylish pegbox design is inspired by the Baroque violas d’amore. The drawing is an ink composition by Belén Ballesteros Melero and the whole instrument is finished with hand-rubbed shellac.
